### The Adventure of Lily


Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a little girl named Lily. She loved to play outside and explore the fields. One sunny morning, she heard a story about a magical flower that bloomed once a year.

**සිංහල:** කලක්, ඉතා කුඩා ගමනක, ලිලි නම් කුඩා ගැහැණු ළමයෙක් ජීවත් විය. ඇය එළියට පිටවී ක්‍රීඩා කිරීමට සහ පාෂාණ වල සොයා බලන්න ආසාවෙන් පිරිුණු විය. එක් සුන්දර උදෑසන, ඇය වසරකට වරක් මල් පිපෙන මායාමය මලක් පිළිබඳ කතාවක් ඇසූවා.

Lily wanted to find this flower, so she packed her bag with some food and water. She waved goodbye to her mother and started her journey into the forest.

**සිංහල:** ලිලිය මේ මල හොයාගන්න අවශ්‍ය විය, එසේ නිසා ඇය කුඩා ආහාරයක් සහ ජලයක් ඇස්සූ බෑග් එකක් ඇසුරෙන් ගෙන ගියා. ඇය ඇගේ මාට ආයුබෝවන් කියා දෙනු ඇත සහ වනයට පිටවීම ආරම්භ කළා.

As she walked, she saw many beautiful birds and butterflies. The forest was full of sounds and colors. After walking for a while, she reached a sparkling river.

**සිංහල:** ඇය යන විට, ඇය ගොඩක් ලස්සන පැරැණි හා මාලිගා බෝතල් දැකියා. මෙම වනයට සයුරුන් සහ වර්ණ වලින් පිරී තිබුණි. ටිකක් ඇය ගෙඩි යන්න පසු, ඇය තැන්න තිළිණ වතුරක් සෙවනැල්ලට විය.

Lily sat by the river and took out her food. She enjoyed the delicious bread and fresh fruit. While she ate, she noticed a friendly squirrel watching her.

**සිංහල:** ලිලිය තැන්න තිළිණට යන්නෙත් අසල ගෙන තිබූ ආහාරය ගනිමින් ඉඳී. ඇය රසවත් රොටියක් හා අලුත් පළතුරු කායාලයේ ඇසූ අතර, එහිදී ඇයට වාසී ඉපැයක් ඇස්සූ කෙල්ලක් බලමින් සිටියේය.

“Hello, little squirrel! Do you know where I can find the magical flower?” asked Lily.

**සිංහල:** “ආයුබෝවන්, කුඩා කෙල්ල! මායාමය මල එකක් හොයාගන්න හොයා ගන්න දන්නවා ද?” ලිලිය ඇය අසන්න.

The squirrel nodded and pointed toward a tall mountain in the distance. “If you climb that mountain, you might find the magical flower,” it said.

**සිංහල:** කෙල්ල එයට හිස තබා දුර ගසන ඉස්සරහා ඇති උස කන්දක් අනිවාර්යවයි. “ඔබට මේ කන්දම ගිනුම් කළහොත්, ඔබට මායාමය මල හොයාගන්න පුළුවන්,” එය කිව්වා.

Thanking the squirrel, Lily continued her journey. The mountain looked very high, but she was determined to find the magical flower. She started climbing.

**සිංහල:** කෙල්ලට ස්තූතියි, ලිලිය ඇගේ ගමන දිගුව යන්න ආරම්භ කළා. කන්ද වඩාත් උස ලැබෙනු ඇත, නමුත් ඇය මායාමය මල සොයා ගැනීමට කැමති විය. ඇය කන්ද ගන්න ආරම්භ කළා.

As she climbed, she met a wise old owl. “Hoo, hoo! Where are you going, little girl?” it asked.

**සිංහල:** ඇය උසට යන විට, කතා කෙල්ලක් හමුවුණා. “හු, හු! ඔබ කුඩා ගැහැණු ළමයා නිකන් කොහෙද?” එය අසනවා.

“I am looking for the magical flower!” replied Lily excitedly.

**සිංහල:** “මායාමය මලක් සොයාගෙන යනවා!” ලිලිය ඉතා රැකවරණය නිසා පිළිතුරු කළා.

The owl smiled and said, “To find the flower, you must be brave and kind. Keep your heart open, and you will see it.”

**සිංහල:** කතා කෙල්ලක් සිනාසෙයින් සහ කිව්වා, “මල සොයාගන්න, ඔබට කුඩා සහ රැකවරණය වෙන්න ඕනෑ. ඔබේ හිත විවෘත තබා ගන්න, ඔබට එය දැකීම.”

Lily thanked the owl and continued climbing. She felt braver with every step. Finally, she reached the top of the mountain. The view was breathtaking!

**සිංහල:** ලිලිය කතා කෙල්ලට ස්තූතියි හා යන්න ගිහින්. ඇය සෑම පියවරක් සමානව ශක්තිමත් වූ බව හැඟුණා. අවසන් වශයෙන්, ඇය කන්දේ ඉහලට පැමිණියේය. දර්ශනය අහසක් සහිත විය!

In front of her, a field of colorful flowers stretched as far as she could see. In the center, she saw the magical flower glowing brightly. 

**සිංහල:** ඇයගේ මුල් මුණේ, වර්ණවත් මල් භූමියක් දැකගන්න පුළුවන් විය. මැදින්, ඇය මායාමය මලක් දැක්කා, එය ආලෝකයෙන් දිල් දී සිටියා.

Lily ran towards the flower, her heart full of joy. As she reached it, she realized that this flower could grant one wish.

**සිංහල:** ලිලිය මල් දිස්වූ අදාළව ගමන් කළා, ඇයගේ හිත ප්‍රේමයෙන් පිරී ඇත. ඇය එයට පැමිණීමට සම්බන්ධ වූ විට, ඇය හිතනවා මේ මලක් එක පැනයක් ඉටු කරගන්න පුළුවන්.

With a deep breath, she closed her eyes and made a wish. “I wish for happiness and kindness for everyone in my village.”

**සිංහල:** ලිලිය උණුසුම් ගතිකයක් ඇති කරා, ඇය ඇගේ ඇස් වසා ප්‍රාර්ථනා කළා. “මට අවශ්‍යයි අපේ ගමේ සැමට සතුට සහ කරුණාව.”

When she opened her eyes, the flower sparkled even more. It seemed to spread a warm light over the whole village. Lily smiled, knowing her wish was granted.

Lily returned home, feeling proud of her adventure. She shared her story with everyone, reminding them to be kind and brave.

From that day on, Lily became a symbol of kindness and courage in her village.
